While definately Native American feeling, the book makes it pretty clear that they are not connected to any one culture (in fact at one point they mention how sandpainting is something of the Navajo, not of theirs) yet at the same time open to all manner of indigenous peoples throughout the world. I read this book when I was in middle school and really wanted to read a book about Greek mythology because that was my main interest back then. This is a wonderful textbook for learning about the ideas in regard to queer theory. The author doesn't explain those insights in way that makes it very clear to me, but of course Jung can speak for himself on that. . Because Mann insists throughout his life that everything he wrote was essentially autobiographical. I'm only about 4 chapters into the book and was pleased to find that I had already implemented several of her ideas and suggestions for improving gut health, so I am on the right track, a work in progress, and there is more I can do!So far the book is excellent and very helpful, I highly recommend it!I'm sure that I'll have more comments and opinions as I read along.It's a
