Eagan wrote this book from correspondences of e-mails with the respective interviewee(s) in each chapter; it gives the feeling that he researched and compiled information on each songwriter in this book and then proceeded to assemble it with chronological anecdotes.From a songwriter's or aspiring songwriter's point of view, more about the songwriters' writing process would have been a great plus. That's a good idea, and I'll do it eventually, probably almost just-in-time.It isn't that the authors expected the world to end in 2012, but they expect bad things to happen eventually, and sooner than we think.
