My son is an architect in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St Paul, and requested it as a Christmas gift. By the way, Hayman does not give a single example of a patient saying that the analysis was not helpful. And he manages to do so in language that the average reader with a limited scientific vocabulary can understand. I have never been able to just diet and lose weight. The book is on a beginning third grade level. Goes through the material and provides nice charts and images to go along with the material. He was a wonderful teacher and still continues to enlighten people in the world today. For when Vesuvius rumbles back to life the impact on human life and property will be catastrophic. However, I was disappointed when I did further research and discovered that many of the myths were wrong in this book. No doubt India fascinated Burton's inquiring mind and he looked into many subjects not ordinarily found in the genre of Indian travel writing produced between 1830 and 1930 by a myriad Englishmen and some English women as well. My only real complaint is the (expected) emphasis on Frequentist approaches. RECOMMEND IT.
