This is one of the best books on U-boats that were in ww2. I feel the author was very responsible for including all the information you need to get started and things to watch out for. I highly recommend this book.. Why? Because of the steady sub-current of references, throughout Mann's work, to sex and violence, specifically to sexually violent acts. I'm grateful to Billy Doyle for writing this for all of us.. I used this book several times for my MA thesis, so it was definately an important part of my graduate experience. His wit and humor keep you turning the pages. The individual's personality can be compared to a tree, which often stops growing and is not firmly planted in the ground, so that what Jung was trying to do was to have the roots spread out further into the ground, so that it would stand firm, regardles of which external events may occur. Overall, this is an excellent book by a great writer who was just beginning to hone her craft. Highly recommended!. In particular E.
