Reading the book causes one to become a believer in the essential role played by metals in maintaining normal function in biochemical systems and the equally important role metals play in the onset and progression of neurodegenerative disorders. GURPS Banestorm is the first self-contained setting that I've read in a very long time that grabbed me by the throat and said, "You will play me."
